TBS 2025
French Polynesia
The second session of TBS will be held in Moorea, French Polynesia (May 5-16, 2025; 16 students), and will focus on the bioacoustics and ecoacoustics of marine environments, with particular emphasis on coral reefs, the effects of global change and the use of Artificial Intelligence for monitoring the ocean ecosystems.
Who are we?
The Tropical Bioacoustics School is a two-week course organized by the ENES Bioacoustics Research lab at the University of Saint-Etienne (UJM, France) and the Sound Communication and Behaviour Group at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU, Denmark), in partnership with the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE, France).
Led by Professor Nicolas Mathevon (University of Saint-Etienne & EPHE), the Tropical Bioacoustics School brings together a group of international experts in bioacoustics and eco-acoustics from Denmark and France, providing students with top-level training.
The Tropical Bioacoustics School qualifies students for the Certificate (Diploma) in Tropical Bioacoustics of the University of Saint-Etienne.
The Tropical Bioacoustics School is generously supported by the Labex CeLyA.
